A distributor needs a salt-lick range that purchasing staff, warehouse teams and dealers can identify consistently. HS Salt supplies Himalayan salt products from Pakistan and welcomes enquiries from overseas distributors, feed merchants and equestrian suppliers. This page focuses on assortment and repeat-order planning rather than a general shipping checklist.

Create an Assortment with Clear Item Differences
Start with the sales channel: tack shops, agricultural merchants, livestock suppliers or a mixed dealer network. Identify the block formats and weights each channel needs. Several items may look similar in a catalogue photograph while differing in unit weight, shape, mounting arrangement or included accessories.
| Distributor record | What it should identify |
|---|---|
| SKU reference | One unambiguous code for the agreed product and pack. |
| Product format | Natural block or rock, target weight and acceptable variation. |
| Accessories | Whether the item includes a rope or other specified component. |
| Sales unit | Single item, multipack or carton, with the contents stated. |
| Reorder reference | Approved sample, specification and current packaging revision. |
Separate the Sales Unit from the Shipping Unit
A dealer may sell one block while your warehouse receives cartons. Record both units so pricing and inventory quantities do not get confused. If a product is advertised as a multipack, agree whether the order quantity refers to packs or individual blocks.
For illustration, 240 blocks packed 8 per carton would make 30 cartons. That calculation does not define an HS Salt case pack. Confirm actual carton contents and the proposed packing schedule in the quotation for each item.
Give Dealers Product Information They Can Use
Prepare a concise item sheet with the agreed product description, nominal weight, mounting details and pack contents. Images should represent the supplied format and any stated natural variation. Dealers should be able to tell which accessories are included without relying on a display photograph.
Avoid unsupported promises about animal performance, disease prevention or a guaranteed mineral composition. Ask for the relevant specification or analysis when a composition statement is needed. A natural salt lick should not be promoted as a complete substitute for a formulated feed or mineral ration.
Set Receiving Checks Before the First Order
- Match carton labels and item codes to the purchase order.
- Check quantities against the packing schedule.
- Compare the supplied format with the approved product reference.
- Identify the agreed method for recording damage or discrepancies.
- Keep the approved documents for the next order.
A repeat order should refer to the same product and packaging revision. If you need a different size mix, label language or accessory arrangement, request a revised quote. This keeps a change in the sales range from becoming an unrecorded change in the supply order.
Plan International Supply by Destination
Tell HS Salt where the products will be imported and how they will be distributed. Destination-specific documents, labelling and supply terms must be reviewed before an order is agreed. Our animal lick salt export page explains the information needed for shipment enquiries.
Compare livestock block specifications and equine range requirements. If you need your own branded presentation, send a private-label development brief.
