Bulk Himalayan Pink Salt Packing & Container Orders

Packing turns a bulk salt requirement into a shipment your receiving team can count and handle. HS Salt welcomes enquiries from importers and wholesalers planning Himalayan salt orders from Pakistan. For the commercial order schedule and price request, see our bulk Himalayan pink salt supplier page. This guide focuses on the physical packing brief.

Define the Primary Pack and the Shipping Pack

The primary pack contains the product; the shipping pack groups or protects it during handling. Identify whether your enquiry is for bulk bags, individually packed items or another requested format. The HS Salt team must confirm which formats and quantities can be supplied for the proposed order.

A natural lick block needs a different packing brief from granular edible salt. Decorative items may need additional protection around their shape or components. Describe the product and its handling requirements before treating a packaging design as interchangeable across the range.

Packing layerInformation to agree

Shipment marksItem references and marks that match the packing list.

Use Net, Tare and Gross Weight Consistently

Net weight is the weight of the product. Tare is the weight of the packaging being included in the calculation. Gross weight combines product and that packing. State which packaging layers a declared weight covers so the supplier, freight provider and warehouse work from the same figures.

For example, 250 packs at 40 kg net each represent 10,000 kg of product. If the stated packing tare were 0.2 kg per pack, the combined weight of product and those packs would be 10,050 kg before any additional pallets or other materials. These figures illustrate the calculation; they are not a confirmed HS Salt pack specification or loading offer.

Agree Dimensions Alongside Weight

Weight alone does not describe the space a packed order uses. Request outer dimensions and unit counts where needed for shipment planning. If palletisation is required, state the receiving site’s pallet and handling restrictions before a packing plan is approved.

Do not assume one container carries a fixed salt tonnage for every product. Packaging, product mix, pallet arrangement, route and applicable shipment limits can affect the proposed load. Confirm the actual packing and loading plan in the quotation and shipping documents.

Mark Each Item So Receiving Is Straightforward

  • Use SKU and carton references consistent with the purchase order.
  • Identify the product, pack contents and agreed weight declarations.
  • Keep mixed products or sizes distinguishable in the packing schedule.
  • Specify requested language, barcode and shipment marks before approval.
  • Request a packing list that uses the same item references.

Protect the Agreed Presentation

Discuss the protection required for the route, handling method and product format. The quotation should identify any requested unit wrapping, carton protection or moisture-related packing requirement that has been agreed. Product and packaging references should be retained for repeat orders.
